Extrem Vest Evolution
Version 1: 1994
The original River Vest. Designed by paddlers and developed on the rivers of Papua New Guinea. Additional foam was included inside the front pocket for extreme whitewater paddling: remove the foam and the front pocket becomes a large cargo pocket. Versatile shoulder and dual side adjustments provided an excellent contour fit for technical paddling, while providing comfortable ventilation during long flat sections. The outer shell was constructed in bomb-proof 1000 denier Cordura.

Version 2: 1997
The Extrem Vest was recut and restyled for '97 with some unique features:
Firstly, the chest harness was revised; we raised the clip-in point at the back of the vest and and widened the webbing. This reduced strain on the component parts and provided improved control.
The addition of a contrasting panel of Flame Cordura® between the webbing makes the clip-in point instantly recognisable for rescuers faced with a vertical pin situation.

Version 3: 2000
Featuring a re-designed lower cut to accommodate 75N of buoyancy whilst offering even greater freedom of movement. 2000 also saw a new pocket configuration with removable buoyancy pad and the use of even tougher materials. The Extrem Vest's safety features continued to lead the way:The shoulder straps(tested to 500kg) ran all the way to the waistbelt and the trademark Hi-Vis Flame back remained.
Version 4: 2003
The one by which all others are measured. Class leading fit, comfort and safety features. Featuring continuous strapping over the shoulders to the waist and rear.
Version 5: 2006
The devopment continues. The 2006 version was the first to incorporate Palm's 3D waist. The cut allows the waist-belt to sit against the the body more effectively, preventing the PFD from riding up. The now legendary strength and buoyancy values remain.
Version 6: 2010
The Extrem Vest evolution continues, setting new standards in safety and usability. Team tested for over two years, the 2010 Extrem Vest incorporates several unique features:
