Busy bee in Switzerland…

hello there 

This is my first entry into the PALM Blog… but will defentaly not be the last one! Right now i got more time than wished behind the computer, so i give you guys a little low down whats going on in my life right now! 

Unfourtenalty i did hurt my back after excessive paddling in May and June and need right now to take it easy a bit! Thats also the reason why i had to cancel my flight to the “Ekstremsportsveko” in Voss/ Norway the other week.. Major bummer, yet the season is still long and i focus right now a) on the swiss boater cross masters start of august in Interlaken and b) on the Extreme Kayak World Championships in October in Austria! 
So my doctors and me decided to skip norway/ going hard in July and focus on a good recovery… 

 

Right now, i am quite busy with the upcoming events: 

At the start of August we organise the “Swiss Boater Cross Masters” in Interlaken.. Super excited about this event and i hope we are going to have many paddlers there:

At the end of August we run the “VW MULTIVAN River Jam” which is the Kayak Freestyle World Cup Finals in 2008! LOts of exciting stuff will be happening there… Its not going to be as big as the World Championships in 2009, yet i believe people will be suprised and have loooads of fun!

Otherwise i spend a lot of time for “rehab” right now and strengthening that body!! 

Coming up this weekend: 
The OUTDOOR GAMES in Interlaken. 
A wicked event! After three years in the filmteams, i was supposed to be this year in the Jury for the filmcontest. Unfourtenatly a tragic accident happened this week, and the filmcontest is cancelled. The teams will still finish their movies and show them and the big screen. I will show some movies of me, have a talk about kayaking and also an autograph session later on.. If you are in the area, swing by:

Additionally VW celebrates its 60birthday being in Switzerland at the airfield of Interlaken that weekend… another reason why to head over to Interlaken.. a big party for the people:

And last but not least
ON sunday 6th July, WWF organises again the BIG JUMP- for living rivers- in whole of Europe!

So, busy weekend ahead… 

The last couple of months, i had lots of requests from different media titles for doing some stories…

One was the VW Magazin for Switzerland covering my lifestory… Another one is Kaizen, in which i get presented as new KEEN Ambassador: 

Sooooo.. lots of stuff happening here… I hope everyone has a blast wherever you are….

P.S: As i wasnt paddling so much the other weeks, i had more time to scout things.. Lots of hidden things in the bernese Alps in Switzerland.. Expect to see some crazy stuff coming up soon! )
